Smiley

I think these faces say enough. We are so truly blessed with two beautiful little girs.

Kiinsley's Baptism

On Sunday, we had Kinsley's baptism. It was a beautiful day to honor our little girl. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us. Special thanks as well to my mom for making all the food. It was delicious. Also, thank you to Kinsley's godparents, Joann, John and Carol. We are truly honored.

Listening to Father .

Making the Sign of the Cross on Kinsley's forehead.

You can kind of tell that Kinsley is trying to tell where the sound is coming from.

Giving Kinsley a blessing.

Pouring the water over her head. Before Father began he explained that if she cried, she would be called to be a nun. I made some comment about it and he told me that I must not be excited about the thought of that. Thankfully she didn't cry.

I know this is small, but it's a shot of all the little ones as well.

Announcing Kinsley as a new member of the Church family.

Just as a side note, I know that Kinsley has a lot of hair, but as Father was placing the oil on her forehead, he kept talking. As he was doing this, he kep rubbing more and more into her hair. By the time he was finished, it stood straight up. Needless to say, he thought that it had a good smell to it, but we didn't. I've washed her hair two times and it still smells.

Just Chillin

We got Kinsley a Bumbo seat because she is always awake when we are eating supper, but we didn't have anywhere to put her. I would put her in the car seat, but got sick of that sitting on the table. I was a little bit worried that she wouldn't like it because Keltie didn't. Keltie's body was always too long for it and she arched her back in it. Kinsley has been doing really good in it. She is starting to hold her head up even more so that's helped her out. Here's just a couple of pictures of her in it.
In other news, she is getting to be so vocal. She loves to talk and just smiles at you when you talk back to her. The past two mornings, she hasn't eaten anything before we've gone to the babysitter's because she's too busy smiling and talking. Her babysitter said yesterday that she ran into the living room because she thought that she had gotten hurt because she was so loud. When she got there, Kinsley was just talking away. I guess that's her way of being heard over her sister. :)

Kismiss Coming

So I've been seeing on tv that this weekend Toyland opens. I have been waiting for the catalog to come in the mail and it finally arrived yesterday. Last year, Keltie was still a little too young to understand Christmas (except for the fact that she wanted to open every one's presents.) This year, we have already started talking about it. (I guess that's because the stores already have things in them for Christmas.) Anyway, while Kinsley was taking a nap yesterday, I told Keltie that we could look at the catalog together and circle the things that she wanted. Well, of course in two year old fashion, that meant circling almost everything on every page. It was so cute, because she would point and before I could even finish making the circle, she was pointing to the next thing. She picked out things that she would never really play with, but it was just too exciting not to point to everything. I asked her if she wanted to pick out some things for Kinsley so she started to point to just about everything again saying, "For Kinsey." Then she kept talking about "Kismiss coming." She said this about 10 different times last night and it was one of the first things out of her mouth this morning. We got to daycare this morning and one of the little boys had the Toyland catalog there. I left Keltie this morning sitting on the floor with him looking at tractors and just waiting for "Kismiss" to come.
"Mama, I just found something else. Now I get to make the circles."
"This is so much fun."

Growing Up

Kinsley turns 3 months old today and Keltie turns 2 1/2 on Sunday so we thought that it would be the perfect time to get some pictures taken of the girls. Kevin's aunt has been wanting to start taking pictures so we asked her if she would take some fall shots of them. It was the end of the day so the girls weren't too excited, but they did an awesome job and so did Carol. Thank you so much, we love them all. It's so hard to decide the best ones, but here are a few of my favorite.

Food is the way to my heart

The way to get Keltie to sit still....put food in her hand. She had to have her picture taken since I was taking pictures of Kinsley. She had brought her stool out from the bathroom and was eating vanilla wafers. She's into the squinty eyes when having her picture taken so this was the best I could get.

TV Time

Keltie has finally gotten to the stage where she will sit down and watch a little bit of tv. Although this usually only lasts for a few minutes and she's up and moving around again. Not that I mind at all. She did sit through Survivor one night, but that's about it. She asks for her movies to be turned on, but we end up turning them off after 10 minutes since she isn't watching. Of course though she has to tell us that she was watching it. Anyway, Kinsley is a little bit different in this respect. I suppose it might have something to do with having to wait for things at times. Last night Kevin wanted me to help cut his hair. I thought o.k. I'll just put Kinsley in the car seat and put her by the tv. When she lays on the floor she is always trying to figure out where the sound is coming so I thought it would work out perfect. Here's what I found when I checked on her.
Eyes glued to the tv and totally focused on whatever was on. We could even hear her talking at times. I guess we know what we can do with her if we need a minute or two to do something. :)
Since she was in such a good mood I had to snap some pictures. Gotta love that smile. Check out those cheeks! I think she's going through another growth spurt. Her babysitter looked at her yesterday and thought that she had grown over the weekend.
Getting all excited because Mama is standing in front of the tv trying to take her picture.

Monday Morning

If you are anything like me, you dread going back to work Monday morning. It seems like weekends are never long enough to get everything done that you wanted to. Well, this morning, I was trying to have a better outlook on things. Kinsley has been doing a much better job of sleeping than she was for awhile. Now though, she has gotten a little bit of a cold and is pretty stuffy. Last night she slept in her swing. She woke up around 12 and then again right after Kevin left for work. I fed her and of course she was in a wonderful mood. I got tons of smiles from her. I had to start to get ready for work so I turned on her swing and took a shower. This is what I found when I returned.
This has to put a smile on my face even on a Mondy morning.
