Little Peanut

I haven't been very good at taking pictures lately since Keltie's gotten into the stage where she says "Cheese" for the camera, but then immediately turns away. Last night she was willing to cooperate so I got her in action doing the things that she loves the most. It's always a reminder of how truly blessed we are to have her in our lives.
This is what Kevin found when he went to wake her up from her afternoon nap. She is becoming a little hoarder and has to have everything with her when she goes to bed. When she wakes up she has to find her babies right away.
Keltie has always been a big helper. Now she's really taken to helping unload the dishwasher. Her job is to put all silverware away. She is very good at it. If she doesn't know where something goes she'll just set it on the counter until I can get to it.
"I can even do it with my eyes closed."

This is what the drawer looks like when she is finished. It's still teaching her independence even if I fix it after she's done.
She is also very interested in taking out all of the towels from the kitchen drawer. She then likes to cover up with them and carry them around the house.
If only she could fold them when she's finished.
Baby update: We had an ultrasound on Tuesday and everything looks good. I am now officially 20 weeks along. Due date is either July 13th or 14th. Baby is 10 ounces and is starting to kick. It's funny when they were doing the ultrasound the baby was constantly moving, but I couldn't tell. Can't believe how fast the time is going. Lots to get done before baby arrives, but am looking forward to it.

Family Van

Well, Kevin and I made a big purchase this weekend. It's a purchase that neither of us ever thought we would make. We are officially driving a minivan. Wow, it still sounds weird to say. We decided that we needed to get something bigger and with more room since we will have to house to car seats very soon. We looked and shopped around to a lot of different places and finally found one that matched what we needed and the price we wanted to pay. Thanks to everyone who watched Keltie while we did this. Keltie is very excited to have a bunch of room. She got in it last night for the first time and pointed to the seat next to her. I guess she's just getting herself ready for the new one coming. We will enjoy the 6 CD changer as well. Fun times are ahead for all of us.

She Knows She's Cute

Mom sent me a few pictures of Keltie that she has taken over the last couple of weeks. As I looked at them I realized how much Keltie is aware of the fact that she's adorable. (I know, I'm her Mama so I'm kind of partial, but I can be!). She knows how to work the camera so well, along with everyone else that she meets. She has brought so much joy to our lives and we are so thankful for every moment we get to spend with her and those we get to share her with others. She is really starting to talk more and it's so exciting to watch her develop. Luckily, she hasn't said any more swear words. Yesterday when Grammy and Boompa were visiting it was "move" anytime you got in her way. I don't know where she got that from, but I guess it makes us realize how fast she picks up on things. I'm still not really sure that she knows that she's going to be a big sister although she does kiss my stomach and say night night to the baby. If our second one is half as good as Keltie is, we will be blessed. No matter what though, she's going to make an awesome big sister.
"What's that back there Boompa?"
"Grammy, I don't need your help. I'm a big girl."
"I love my babies."
"Cheese, or is that peas?"
"Gotta love peas."
All dressed up and no where to go.
Playing on my computer. She insisted on being covered up.
"Hi, Grammy!"

Going to School

Today we had a minor daycare problem, as our normal sitter couldn't watch Keltie. We didn't find this out until this morning so it kind of threw things off. We decided that Keltie would go to school with me until 9:00 when Kevin could get done working. I can't imagine what it will be like when she does actually go to school the first time. She fit in so well with the students and was a perfect little girl. Hopefully that stays the same when she does enter school. Coloring like a big girl.
"Hey, what are you doing?"

"What color next?"
"Just checking my email."

Dancing Queen

This weekend there was a dance held at my school. Kevin and I were excited to take Keltie to it because she loves to dance so much at home. I didn't know how she would react. While we were eating, she was watching the other kids dance and looing at all the lights. She didn't want to eat so I told her that she could go dance. I figured she wouldn't go unless someone else went with her. She proved me wrong once again. She marched right up there by herself and started to dance. She was definitely showing off. She even had to take her shoes off. It was so cute to watch.

Big Girl

So Keltie actually let me put pigtails in her hair and she left them in all day! She looks like such a big girl when this happens. Here are some attempts at getting her picture taken. She's got it all figured out now and doesn't want to sit or stand still for Mama to get a picture. Sitting nicely, but of course not looking at the camera.
"What's this on my hand?"

"You really want me to smile?"
"Look what I can do."
This is Keltie trying to give thumbs up.
"Mama, you are stressing me out. This is hard work."
