More Fun

Saturday at our house was spent drywalling the basement again. We are so thankfully to have helpers who are willing to give up their weekends to help us. Once again, Keltie got to spend the majority of the day with Mama and Grammy while Boompa and Daddy worked downstairs. Kevin was working down there before Grammy and Boompa got there and of course had to say "crap" for some reason or another. Keltie stopped right in her tracks and responded with "rap." You can't help but smile. Here's more pictures from the weekend.
Sitting and waiting patiently for our visitors. Notice all the books around her. :)
Grammy had to give Keltie a bath. Such a little poser.
Grammy got a pretty in her hair and it stayed in the whole day. She kept her busy while she did it so she didn't even know it was in. Later though she looked at herself in the mirror and was amazed at what she saw.
"Look at me in action."
"This is the best pretend food ever."
"Gotta get my beauty sleep."

Snuggly Day

Keltie has been coughing a lot lately and hasn't been her normal self. I stayed home with her yesterday for a little extra TLC. We really enjoyed our day together. She even slept in until 9:15. I kept checking on her because I don't know when the lst time is that she's slept that late. Well, right before Kevin gets home Sesame Street is on. I turned it on for her as a special treat. She loves to watch "Melmo." She had to get her chair in front of the tv. Then of course she had to have her pillow, and blankets, and two babies. She truly is becoming like her Mama and is a pack rat. Oh well, I can't tell her no when she's so cute. She did ask for a book after I took the picture. It's kind of like the book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie."

Weekend Fun

This weekend Kevin and Dad spent hanging drywall in our basement. They worked very hard and it looks so different now. Eventually Keltie will have to move down there so we are trying to get it finished bit by bit. Well, while they were working hard, Keltie, Grammy and I got to have fun upstairs. It's so funny to see her in front of other people because she truly acts like a little ham. Here are some of our adventures. Thanks again for all the help.
Grammy actually got Keltie to sit still long enough to put in some piggies.
Needless to say, she wasn't too excited about it. I think they lasted about 5 minutes and then she pulled them out.
Grammy also painted Keltie's toes. She sat very nicely for it. Now, though she's doesn't know what to think of it. Whenever I take her socks off she points and whines at them. I showed her that I had some on as well, but that didn't seem to matter to her.
Sitting so nicely.
This is Keltie with her head on a paper plate. I don't know what she was doing, but it was cute. I guess she thought it made a good pillow.
"Are you looking at me?"

Aspring Photographer

Keltie turned 21 months old on Sunday so I thought it was time to take some pictures of her and update the blog. Well, she didn't want anything to do with this. Instead of having me take the pictures, she decided that she wanted to take them. Whenever I pulled the camera away from her, she pulled it right back and kept pushing the button. So needless to say, I didn't get the pictures that I wanted, but she got to have some fun.

In other news, she is growing up so fast right before our eyes. It's so amazing all of the things that she can do now and all the words she is starting to say. Here's a few of the things she now does:
* Kisses my belly when you ask her where the baby is.
* Sings and points to her body parts when singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes"
* Loves to listen to and dance to music (We listen to music everyday on the ride to the sitter's)
* She has officially said her first swear word. She was watching the Packer game with Daddy and he said "Damn it." She stood up, kicked her foot and repeated him.
* She is constantly on the go.
* She loves to tease everyone. You think that she will give you something and then she pulls it away from you.
* She says a whole bunch of words and is starting to repeat us more often.
* She has become a pack rat. Every night before she goes to bed, she has to take her baby, blanket, taggies and teething ring with her. In the morning, it all has to come back out with her.
* She loves to look at books and snuggle up to read them.
* Her last hour of the night is pretty much spent cuddling with Daddy.
* She can point to her eye, heart and the person to tell them that she loves them.

The list could go on and on, but we'll save those things for another day.

In Other News

For those of you haven't heard yet, we will be having a new addition to our family in July. We are expecting our second child. I am three months along and feeling great. We told our families over Christmas and everyone is excited. We went to my doctor's appointment last week and were able to hear the heartbeat. That's always such a great moment. We are preparing Keltie and talking to her a lot about how she's going to be a great big sister. It's going to be an adjustment for our family, but one that we want to share with everyone. Please keep the baby in your prayers that we have a happy and healthy addition to our family.

Christmas

It seems like Christmas was so long ago since I'm finally getting around to posting some pictures from it. Keltie and I enjoyed our vacation last week, but now it's back to the real world. We had a great time visiting with family and celebrating Christmas. Christmas Eve we went to my Grandma's house. Christmas Day was spent with Kevin's family. I didn't get a lot of pictures taken since we were busy helping Keltie open her presents, but I hope you enjoy these.

" This is what I think of this dress."

Playing in the sled with my cousins.
"I love opening presents." (Actually she thought all the presents should be hers and she opened up a few of them that weren't.)
