Camping Season 2011

Well, camping season has officially begun for us. Kevin picked the girls up early on Friday and left with them. I headed out with Mom and Dad later in the afternoon for a fun filled weekend at Eau Plaine. It wasn't the best weather, but it wasn't a total washout. The girls did a fabulous job. Keltie woke up Saturday morning at 5:30 and wanted to get up because it was light outside. She finally fell back asleep at 7:00, but otherwise, they were perfect. Here's some pictures from our adventure. We can't wait for even more camping trips this summer.

Boompa and Keltie feeding the deer. Last year it was Fruit Loops. This year it's Goldfish crackers.
Can life get any better? Chilling and eating a powdered sugar doughnut.

We had to snap this fast, since Kinsley wasn't crying.

To our surprise, Kevin's aunt and uncle and his cousin and their family were also camping. Keltie had a blast playing with the kids. Of course they had to make a slide train.

Check out those thunder thighs. :)

Good buddies.

Popsicle time.

I asked for a popsicle and thought I would share a little with Kinsley. Needless to say, she wanted the whole thing and kept reaching for it.

She even took a few bites on her own.

"What do you mean it's all gone?"

Gooey, sticky, loveable face.

10 Month Old Kinsley

Kinsley has turned 1o months. Where does the time go? She is such a little ham. She has developed such a personality. She is still very apprehensive around people that aren't her sister, Mama, Daddy or babysitter, but I do think it's getting better. Her babysitter told me this morning that she has learned how to blow kisses as well. She is talking and moving around all over the place. A big milestone that she has also reached is sleeping through the night. (I don't want to jinx myself, but she has been doing awesome with this.) She has brought so much joy to our lives and it's so much fun to see her and Keltie interact with each other. I'm not teaching summer school this summer so I'm looking forward to spending the summer with the girls. We have already been enjoying the nice weather. (I have also reached the milestone of being finished with pumping. YEAH! That was a long stretch, but I'm glad that I was able to do it for both my girls.)
All smiles! Don't you love the pretty? I have to put pretties in her hair because her bangs are too long. It's not that she's excited about them, but she usually sits pretty good for them. Keltie on the other hand won't let me do it because it hurts too much!
