Home, Sweet, Home

After being gone all day Saturday, we stayed home on Sunday and had a lazy day. Kevin decided that he would give Keltie a shower so I didn't have to give her a bath. Her hair has gotten so long and crazy that Kevin was playing around with it while he washed it. Here's the result. She also took a big nap and slept for 3 hours. When I went to wake her up. This is what I found.
I guess she just needed her beauty sleep after having her pictures taken on Saturday.

Potty update: She went on the potty two more times on Sunday!

Fun at Grammy's

We were able to have Keltie's 18 month pictures taken this weekend. It's so hard to get her to stand still now, but I'm sure they will turn out great. Thank you Connie for doing them. After we were finished with them, we went to Grammy and Boompa's house. Grammy bought Keltie a new outfit so of course she had to try it on. Here she is looking stylish in it.

Grammy also had some new books for Keltie. We looked at one together. Keltie read the whole story to me. It's so fun listening to her because as she looks at a page she has so much to say about it. If only we could understand what she was really saying.

We went to the bowling alley and there was a live band playing. Keltie definitely had her dancing shoes on. She was the only one who danced. When they finished playing a song she used her sign language to ask "More, please." It was so cute to watch her. I think she might be a groupie someday.

Cinderella

Since it was nice last night we decided to wash our windows. Of course Keltie wanted to help. That's one thing we can't complain about - she loves to help clean up. Keltie is constantly picking up dirty laundry and putting it in the hamper. She loves to sweep. Now she even does windows!
Potty update: We've been working hard on trying to catch Keltie before she poops in her diaper so she can go on the potty. We are usually too slow. Yesterday, Kevin got her right on time and she was able to go on the potty! Yeah, such a milestone!

Little Princess

Keltie has been feeling a little bit under the weather lately, but we think she's finally feeling better. It's so funny because you truly forget what their personalities are like when they are sick. For the last couple of days, she's been pretty mellow. Well, last night she started feeling better and she was just a chitter chatter box. When she really starts saying "real" words, I think she's going to give me some stiff competition.

While she was sick, she found a green blanket in her dresser drawer and she had to carry it everywhere she went. She was also very snuggly. She loved to sit in her chair all covered up with her blanket. Our little princess.
"Daddy, cut it out. You are embarrassing me!"

Can you hear me now?

Keltie has learned to use her outside voice inside the house. Here's an example. I guess she's got her Mama's set of lungs.

18 months old

Our little girl turned 18 months old on Saturday. It's so amazing how much one little body can change your world. She changes so much everday that it's so much fun to watch. She is developing such a personality. These are some recent pictures of her. I got out a box of diapers to take to daycare and she decided that she wanted to play with them. Here she is in action.

Cheeseburger

Last night we were practicing taking pictures of Keltie. She is going to have her pictures taken soon and it's been a long time since that's been done. Actually the last time she wasn't even moving that much. Now you can't even catch her sometimes. Kevin kept saying cheeseburger last night and she'd smile at the camera. She loves the camera, she just doesn't always like having her picture taken. I wonder where she gets that from? She likes to hold the camera and walk around with it. She even took a couple of pictures last night. Here she is.

Let's hope for the best when she has her real pictures taken.

Walk a Little Slower

Keltie decided that she wanted to walk all the way down from the lookout tower at Timm's Hill. She did a good job and only fell a couple of times. Actually she was at the bottom when she fell.

Timm's Hill

On Sunday we decided that we should go to Timm's Hill and see the colors. Kevin wanted to go by Mondeaux to see how low the water was. When we got there we realized that they were doing road construction so we had to take an alternative route. Well, needless to say we got the scenic tour. We were on some pretty curvy road. Keltie entertained herself, but she was getting ready to be out of the truck. I picked up some leaves when we stopped at Mondeaux so I let her play with them.

We finally arrived at Timm's Hill. The colors were beautiful. Kevin thinks that by next weekend they'll be even better. Oh well.

Kevin and Keltie on the walk up.

Shopping with Grammy

On Saturday, we decided that we needed to take a trip to Wausau to get some essentials. Diapers that would be. Keltie, Grammy and I loaded into the car and were off. This is a picture of Keltie on the way there. She was dancing and talking the entire time.Keltie was a trooper. She loved playing in the toy section in Shopko. She would go up and down the aisles pushing all the buttons on the toys. Her whole face just lit up. I'm sure Christmas will be even more exciting for her this year. By the time we got to Sam's, she was exhausted. She stayed in the car with Grammy. It took us about two minutes on the road and this is what she looked like.
I guess shopping does make you tired.

Mama's Helper

Keltie has decided that it's fun to help Mama clean the floor. She usually wants the broom when I get it out. I have to sweep fast in order to get it done before she takes it. Now she's decided that she wants to help scrub the floor. (If only she'd clean the bathroom!)

Daddy's Girl

When I got home last night, this is how I was greeted at the door. As you can tell, Kevin was getting ready to go hunting. Keltie was so proud of the fact that she had Daddy's shirt on. It must have brought him some good luck because she shot a doe. Now the fun of cleaning it tonight. Good times!
