New Bedroom

Another milestone for Keltie happened this week. She is moved downstairs to her new bedroom. It was supposed to happen in April, then in May, but it has finally happened before the new baby arrives, which is exactly what we wanted. Kevin did such a great job on the room. We have been spending a lot of time with Keltie getting her ready for this move. Every time we go downstairs we take her with and talk about how this is going to be her new room. She has been very excited, but it's always difficult to know how much she actually understands. Yesterday, we moved her bed down before nap time. She crawled right into it and was ready to go to sleep. We asked her if she wanted to read a story and she replied, "No, just go night night." We did read a story and left right after it. She had a much easier time than I did. I left the room in tears. (Luckily I can chalk it up to the hormones.) Bedtime went the same way. Hopefully it continues to be this way. It is just so amazing how fast she is growing up.

All snuggled up.

Finished Rock Wall

Kevin finished Keltie's rock wall over the weekend. It looks so nice and Keltie was excited to try it out. She hasn't quite gotten the grasp for it yet, but as she gets older she will. For now, it's nice to have Daddy help her out.

Dorchester Days

We took Keltie to the Dorchester Days parade thinking that she would be pretty excited about it. Well, we were completely wrong. Of course every parade has to start with sirens so she was immediately freaked out by that. The rest of the parade she spent on Kevin's lap and didn't really show much emotion. She was much better after the parade was over. We went to eat with both sets of grandparents and cousins and then it was time for the rides. Boompa wanted to take Keltie on the carousel, but we didn't know how she would react. She loved it! Every time that she went around, she would smile and wave. It was hard to get a good picture because she was going by so fast.

She had another ticket so she decided to go on the cars. Again, we didn't know how she would react, but once Boompa had her buckled in she was ready to go. I guess we are in for a world of hurt when she turns 16.

Strawberry Patch

On Saturday we went strawberry picking with Kevin's parents. Well, Keltie absolutely loved this. She kept going back and forth from row to row and asking everyone for more strawberries. Needless to say, she didn't pick any strawberries, all she did was eat them. These pictures are all in mixed up order, but you can see how red her face was when she was finished.
You can see the red on her face.
"Please just one more."
"I can eat as many as I want."
"Yum, yum!"
Walking through the patch looking for more strawberries.

Potty Training

Well, we have done it. Keltie is pretty close to being fully potty trained, although we haven't mastered the pooping thing. It didn't even take us too long. The first few times were difficult, but now she's to the point where she tells us "Potty coming." The best part of it is that she has already gotten weaned of the potty treats. She did ask for a treat each time, but now it's like second nature to her. We are so proud of her. These are just a couple of a pictures of Keltie playing with her undies.

Busy Weekend

So the past weekend was busy, like usual. On Sunday we had a graduation party to go to for Kevin's cousin. We are very fortunate that we have gotten to spend a lot of time with this family lately, so Keltie has become very accustomed to Uncle John, Aunt Carol, Michael and Ethan. She fell asleep on the way to the party, but was ready to have some fun when she woke up. There were a few other kids there so she spent some time running around with them. It was fun to watch her interact with others. Carol decided to get her picture out and try to take some pictures. Keltie didn't want to sit still at first, but then she saw that everyone was making a big deal out of her so she wanted to pose. Grammy got down on the ground and showed her how to pose. These were the results.
"It's hard to say cheese when I'm holding my face."
"I can't hold this pose much longer."
"I'm so pretty."
Sitting with Boompa. We have to work on being "lady like."
Thanks for the fun time at the party. We stayed a little bit past Keltie's bed time so we took her pack and play along. She chose Carol to tuck her in. She loves you guys!
