Wise Beyond Their Years

Kinsley is such a sponge and is starting to talk more and more. Kevin and her have a little thing that they like to do. Kevin points to his eye and says "I", then points to his heart and says "love". Before he can even say anything, Kinsley replies, "Dada." Everytime he does this, she says the same thing. I've tried to get her to say Mama and her babysitter has tried to get her to say her name, but it's useless. Well, yesterday she was at the sitters and Cathy heard her pass gas. She goes to Kinsley "Who tooted?" Kinsley's immediate response was "Mama." Cathy teased Kevin that he  must be working on that one with her and he told her that he hasn't. Nice, I totally feel the love.

Also, yesterday morning we were getting ready to walk out the door. Keltie looks at me and says, "Mama, I think Kinsley just said alcohol." I looked at her and told her that I didn't think that she said that. "Yes, Mama. Kinsley said alcohol." I laughed to myself and then asked her what alcohol was. Her reply, "It's something I can't have until I'm older."

I think we truly are in for a world of hurt when they get older. :)

One of Many

This year we have so many Christmas parties that it's hard to know when it's going to end. Luckily the girls have so many different Christmas outfits that they should be able to wear all of them before the season is over. On Saturday we had Grammy and Boompa over to celebrate the day with us. We all had a great time. Kinsley was more excited about throwing the paper away than actually opening up presents. Keltie did such a good job of reading the names on the tags and handing them out to the right person. We had so much fun together. Thank you Grammy and Boompa for such a great day.

A Cinderella ornament for the tree. We tried to get Keltie to pose and this was the result. The poor head on Cinderella has already been glued on once.
Teamwork of handing out the presents.
"Is this one really for me?"
"What's in here?"
Little pit stop to play beauty salon.
Fashion statement. Kinsley is very into clothes and had to try this shirt on over her dress. Of course she then had to try on Daddy's shoes as well.
Boompa's girl.
"This is fun!"
Sitting pretty.
Dessert time. You have to love dirt dessert.
Our little monkey in her monkey jammies.
Kelite in her stylish footie jammies.
The after shot of our living room. Needless to say, it's going to continue to look like this until the last Christmas party is over.

"Special Tree"

We always go and get our Christmas tree the weekend of the Christmas parade. However this year, we weren't able to do so since the girls were sick.Keltie has been very concerned that Santa wouldn't come to our house if we didn't have a tree. We have been busy, but we finally got one this weekend. I would like to say that we went in the woods and cut down the perfect one, but this year we took a different route. We bought our tree at the hardware store. Totally not us, but we were pressed for time. Let's just say, it's "special." We brought it home and put it up and of course it was even uglier at home. To top everything off, I put the lights on which is something I don't usually do. (When you see pictures, you'll understand why.) Keltie wanted to help decorate so of course I let her. Let's just say there are A LOT of ornaments three feet and down on the tree. Kinsley was more interested in taking the ornaments apart. I'm just glad we didn't want a Christmas tree picture on our card.

Keltie had the first two ornaments on before I was even downstairs.
Doesn't everyone wear a tutu when they decorate their tree?
Kinsley actually did a really good job helping in the beginning.
It went downhill quickly.
I told Keltie that this was a sad looking tree. She didn't quite understand this and said, "No, it's a happy and pretty tree."
All I can say, is SPECIAL!!
Just one of the highly decorated areas.

Fun Times

Kevin didn't want to give  up the deer hunting so he has been taking out the muzzle loader. Well, Wednesday night he got one. Great, exciting, fun times. Oh yeah, that's right. When you get a deer, that means you have to cut it up. Thursday night we spent cutting it up and then grinding it into hamburger. Keltie wanted to help, but she had on a white shirt so she took it off. If Keltie has to take her shirt off, guess who's has to come off next? Of course, Kinsley's. Here they are trying to entertain themselves while we worked on the meat.

I don't know what that face is all about, but it's cute.

That's a better smile!
All the toys are in the living room, so why not play with spices.
Don't you love how the underwear sticks out?

Gomer "Style" or "Pile"

On Thursday night, Kinsley came down with the flu bug. NOT FUN AT ALL! Keltie was also sick for a little bit, so that kind of put a damper on our weekend plans. Thankfully our girls don't get sick a whole lot, but when they do, wow, they are out for the count. Knock on wood, that we got that out of the way before Christmas. Anyway, Grammy got the girls some cute little holiday headbands and in a moment when everyone was feeling good, they both had to have them on. They were so funny to watch because they just walked around all over with them on. Kinsley's kept falling off so she would bring it over and say "hat" until you put it back on. I told Keltie that they looked like "Gomer Piles." She then kept walking around the house saying "We are Gomer Styles." Thankfully we are all on the mend now.
Gotta love that Kinsley is in pajamas and Keltie is in a Christmas dress.
