Camping Trip Number ????

Okay, so we have gone camping a total of 17 times this year. (At least I think that's correct). A few weeks ago we headed to Eau Pleine with the camping crew. It was a beautiful weekend. Kevin took kites to surprise the girls so they could have something fun to do. Well, we went down to the beach while the girls went for a walk with Carol, Grammy and Granny. While they were gone, Kevin and I did a pretty good job of flying kites, but by the time they got to the beach, the wind had died down. No one was too disappointed though when we saw these pictures that were taken while the girls were on their walk.

Super cute. They actually look like they love each other.
Brings a tear to my eye when I look at this one. Way too precious.
Sassy pants.
LOVE these two SO MUCH!

Kinsley was so cute as we were flying them because I would get it in the air and then she would take  the string and keep moving it all over the place saying "I can do it." Here we all are.

There are two kites, you just can't see them!

We are headed out again this weekend to enjoy the beautiful fall colors. We are just too stubborn and can't put the camper away yet.

Picture Day

So Keltie has been adjusting to school life fairly well. We have gotten over the fear of having to eat breakfast at school since she finally understands that she doesn't have to eat there. Today was picture day and that brought on new worries for her. We aren't having her pictures taken because we have had so many taken lately, but she might have to have it taken any way for the class picture. So now she was worried about how to smile. I told her to just stick out her tongue at the photographer and see what he does. I'm not sure she'll take that advice. I told her that I would get her ready just like she was getting her picture taken. Here's the final product.

She looked at herself in the mirror and told me that she looks better than I looked last week for my picture (well, that's a given). She told me that she looks better because she's "beautiful, a girl and a children." You have to love that reasoning.

Of course Kinsley had to get in on the action to so here she is.

First Day of Everything

Well, today is my first day back at school. Today is Kinsley's first day at daycare by herself. Most importantly, it's Keltie's first day of school. Yes, you heard me correctly, she is starting 4K today. I don't think any amount of preparation can truly prepare you for when your little princess gets on that school bus. She has been so excited about it, but I never new how she would really react when she had to go. Keltie is a little bit shy and apprensive about new situations so I was a little worried. She did wonderful. I was also a little bit worried about Kinsley and how she would react, no problems there either.

Yesterday, I didn't want to spend too much time talking about the changes, but it seemed like all Keltie wanted to talk about was school. The two of them had to put their backpacks on and walk around the room. She even called me Mrs. Bever, who is her teacher. She kept asking me what she should do next. It was pretty cute. She got up this morning ready to go.

I took them to Cathy's and we took more pictures. She had to wait and wait and wait for the bus to come. She told me that all she wanted to do was sit down. I got hugs and kisses out of the way before the bus came. Finally, it arrived and she never looked back. (sigh). Kinsley waved and waved and then told me to go to school. I guess their both excited about their new adventures. (Now if only I could feel that same excitement about school!)

Kinsley all ready to go.
Our big girl.
All dressed and ready.
Our two sweeties.
Koren, Caylee and Keltie. The three of them have been together since day one.
Cathy's whole gang.

Yes, there were tears shed by me, but  not until I got in the van and thought about what this means. I can't wait for Kevin to see the tape of them getting on the bus and I'm sure he'll feel the same way.
