Let the Christmas Festivities Begin

I know that I've said this a lot lately, but wow, where does the time go? As Christmas is getting closer, we are running out of time. Last night we decided to go see the lights in Marhsfield. We've tried two other times, but it just hasn't worked out the way we wanted. It was a perfect night to go so off we headed. The girls were so good throughout the walk. They loved looking at all the bright colors. Kinsley was telling us what color the lights were and she was so proud of herself because we have been working A LOT on colors. I tolde her what a good job she was doing and she said, "I learning my colors." Too cute. We didn't take a lot of pictures, but here they are. (You'll notice that there aren't any with Santa. The reason for this is because we took the camcorder instead during this time. Needless, to say, both of the girls wanted nothing to do with Santa. Not a big surprise there!)

Tis the Season

Last night was Keltie's concert and her time to sing the song she has been practicing for a long time. We were all so excited. She was excited, but yet nervous. Here she is before we went to school.

I love her hair cut, but it makes her look WAY TOO OLD!
Of course Kinsley had to get in on the action. Notice that she also had to dress up.
"Let me try sitting down now."
Smiles!

We got to school and walked her to her room. Once she saw her friends she was a little bit more excited. She got her antlers in place and was ready to go.

Keltie, Koren and Caylee. (The daycare crew)
Those antlers are cute, but proved to bring problems later while she was singing and they wouldn't stay on her head.

We went to find seats and patiently waited. Keltie and all of the 4K came up first. It was so cute to watch them because they came on stage the exact way Keltie talks about how they have to walk down the hall. For 49 kids, they did a great job, although believe it or not, they weren't that loud. Keltie sang, but didn't do the motions to the song. I asked her this morning why she didn't and her response, "I didn't know I was supposed to." Too cute. I look forward to many more concerts. Thank you to those who could make it last night. I know the quality isn't the best on the following pictures, but it was as good as I could get. (Notice those antlers)

Annual Christmas Parade

This weekend marked the true beginning of the holidays for us. We have been working on decorating our tree, but it was time to go to the Abbotsford Christmas parade. As in years past we headed to Granny and Papa's for supper and then went off to the parade. This was the first year that Kinsley got to go so we were all excited. The weather helped a lot in making it exciting. Well, it was a good time, except for the fact that there was a lot of space between things. Oh,well, the girls had a good time anyway.

Waiting to see the first thngs with cousin Ella.
Uncle John looking like he's cold already.
Something is coming, but what is it?
None of the little girls would get too close to Papa the clown.
One big happy, snuggly family.
Kinsley got excited to see Barbie. She doesn't show much emotion here, but that's all she talked about
Getting a little more excited.
You have to love her Elmer Fudd hat. She even says, "I'm hunting wabbits. Ha, ha!"
Cinderella is the one that Keltie really wanted to see. I held up the parade while I tried to capture the moment. (Scary thing, I taught Prince Charming in first grade.)
Eating a sucker and doing her exercises.
This was about as close as Kinsley would get to Boompa the clown.
Keltie all snuggled with her eyes covered as Puff the Magic Dragon came.
