Big Girl

Kinsley is now forward facing in her car seat. That's always so exciting. Here she was this morning. I'm not sure you can see the excitment in her face though.

Santa's helpers

Being very careful.
"This is so much fun."
Look at the concentration and the mess.
The markers get used on paper, not on your hands.
The girls and I decided that we are going to make presents for everyone this year. Here they are working so hard. We painted and used markers. By the time we were done, Kinsley was so dirty, but she had fun. When they went in the bathtub, the water was even red.

Streaking

Bath time is always an adventure at our house. Thankfully both girls love it and by the time I have everything ready, they want in the bathtub. Keltie is very good at getting herself naked. When she's finished, she likes to run through the house and yell "Streaking." Well, of course Kinsley has started to copy everything Keltie does. As soon as you get her in just her diaper, she runs through the house as well yelling "Streak." It's cute now, not so much in a few years.

Sleep over

Last week, the cousins were home for Thanksgiving. Keltie loves being able to play with all of them and they don't get to see each other nearly enough. Granny decided that she would take Keltie for the night so that she could spend more time with everyone. The next night, Kevin and I had the crazy idea to have everyone over at our house. It was so much fun, even though there was pink eye, coughing and tears. It is definitely something that we will have to do again.

Snack time. We hardly had enough chairs for everyone. (Addison decided not to stay with all the girls.)
Easy entertainment. Who would have thought it's so much fun to run around the living room?
Playing dress up in jammies.
Attempt number 2.
Got to love Keltie's face.
Of course Kinsley had to get in on the action.
Kins loved having everyone over and followed them around wanting to do what they were doing.

Shoes and boots

Doing morning exercises while in her boots.
"Check me out. Nice fashion statement."
Sheep dog. Do you think it's time for her first hair cut?
"Where did all the letters go?"

Kinsley is very excited about wearing shoes and boots. They are usually in the entry way to our house, but she likes to carry them around with her. We cleaned our carpets over the weekend and she didn't like walking on the wet carpet. She had to have her boots on, even over her pajamas. She is just too funny sometimes.

Cookie Decorating

It was time once again for the Will family Christmas cookie decorating. This is always so much fun, and even more fun with the kids helping. This year Kinsley got to help out as well, which is something she enjoyed. It was cute watching the different techniques that everyone had just to make their cookie perfect. Keltie was sure to put on just the right amount, not too much, not too little. Everyone else had the strategy of more the more sprinkles, the better. Kinsley's philosophy was that if you just eat all the frosting off of one cookie the whole entire time, you don't have to do anything else.

Waiting patienly for the fun to begin.
Look at all those sprinkles.
"Yummy, sprinkles."
It's so tempting.
Kinsley's first cookie. The sprinkles came out a little faster than expected.
Hard workers.
Let's take a whole handful.
"Can I eat that one too?"
"Could I have those sprinkles please?"
Look at the mess.
"I have to make sure I put on just the right amount."
Kinsley's first cookie, and Daddy's first blue yummy. (I'm not sure that's his first.)
Working together.
The three little bopsey triplets.

Kinsley's cookie at the end.

Little Monkey

Since it has been getting colder outside, we usually spend our evenings downstairs by the pellet stove. We are patiently waiting for our tv to arrive so we can get that down there as well. While I was helping Kevin figure out things for that the other night, Keltie and Kinsley were busy playing. I turned around and Kinsley was sitting on the futon all proud of herself. I asked Keltie if she helped her get there and she said no. I then saw her climb off of it, climb back up on it and then go off again. I guess we'll have to watch her a little bit more closely now.

Nice butt shot. This is how you get up.

She is signing, "More." She was pretty proud of herself once she got up.

You have to read a book before it's jammie time.

And back down again.

Pilgrim Hats a.k.a. Children's Hats

Last week I came home to a rubbermaid container sitting on our counter with some decorated cookies inside. No matter how I turned the container, I just couldn't figure out exactly what the cookies were supposed to be. Kevin told me that I had to wait until Keltie got up from nap before I could find out. So when she got up she asked me if I had seen the "children's hats." I kind of looked at her and couldn't figure out what she was saying. Kevin told her to tell me again and once again she said children's hats. Finally Kevin looked at her and said, "Remember Keltie, Cathy said that they are Pilgrim hats." Too cute!

So before Thanksgiving we decided that we should make some to take with us to our Thanksgiving feast. Keltie was very excited to help and was a trooper unwrapping all the peanut butter cups. Kinsley was more than content just to sit there and eat a "cookoo."

"It's kind of hard to look at Mama and work at the same time."
Here's the finished products.
The little busy bees.

"Cookoo."

A plate full of children's hats.

Of course after all that hard work, you have to sample what you made.

Daddy Day Care

"Mrs. Will, did you know that it's snowing?" This is how I was greeted when I walked into my classroom on Wednesday. My first thought, I would have to be blind not to have seen the snow. Second thought, YUCK! Well, Kevin had to stay home with the girls on Wednesday because our babysitter needed the day off. When I left in the morning, Kevin was all snuggled with Kinsley and I was regretting my decision to go to work.

They had a blast during the day. Kevin took both of them outside and pulled them around the yard. He had them both in one sled and was walking through the woods when Keltie started yelling that she lost her mitten. Sure enough, Kevin turned around and saw her mitten laying a little bit back. More importantly though, Kinsley was laying face down in the snow a way back as well. The little stinker Keltie was obviously more worried about that lost mitten than her sister in the snow.

Starting to roll the balls for a snowman.

"Let's go for a ride."
