Weekend Away

So all last week, the girls battled fevers and coughs. Kevin stayed home with them on Monday because he felt poorly as well. The rest of the week, I ended up taking off of work to stay home with girls. When it seemed like one felt better, the other one got it. Each day I called the babysitter to tell her that I thought we were in the clear, and then later that day I was calling her to tell her I was wrong. We originally had a motel room reserved for Friday night, but ended up cancelling that. By the end of the week, we were ready to do something so on Saturday we headed to Wausau to do a little shopping and to spend the night. The girls weren’t exactly 100% , but we all needed to get out of the house. I’m really glad that we went. The girls were very good and were so excited to be out and about.

We had to stay pretty much in the hot tub because the pool was FREEZING!

Kinsley didn't want to go in any further, but she was happy on the step.

Keltie got brave and went in the pool with Daddy.

We're trying to get Keltie ready for swimming lessons, so she was using her life jacket as a belt.

Waiting patiently for Keltie.

Easily amused, opening and closing the fridge. (Yes, we traveled with a bottle of Brandy).

Enjoying a little tv before sleeping.

Fun Times

Our babysitter has been needing more days off this school year than she has in all the other four years combined. It's not her fault at all, but it puts us in some situations trying to find someone to watch the girls, without either of us having to use up all of our days. Anyway, we are very thankful to everyone who has helped us out. Last week it was Papa's turn. He only had Kinsley, which makes it a little bit more difficult. Needless to say, she was not an easy girl that day. I'm thinking next time it might help if Keltie goes along.

So today, Grammy is at our house with just Kinsley again. We had it arranged that the two of them were going to go into school to eat lunch with Keltie, but with all the germs out there, it's just not worth it. Kinsley was in tears a little bit this morning, but I think that ended pretty quickly. It's fun when Grammy watches her because I get a lot of updates throughout the day. Here they are for today.

I can only share the talk of the day, for some reason I can't download pictures lately. Sorry, but you'll get Kinsley's personality through these things.

Grammy:  "Did you have a good time when you stayed with Papa?"
Kinsley: U huh!
Grammy:  What did you do?
Kinsley:  I cried
Grammy:  A lot or a little?
Kinsley:  A lot!

Kinsley after running around bare butted for 15 minutes at one point with her underwear in her mouth.

"My underwear is wet. I don't want this underwear."

Downstairs we go to get another pair of underwear.

Kinsley:  Wait, I have to make a phone call.
Grammy:  Who are you going to call?
Kinsley:  Grammy.  Oh wait, you're here.  I better call Boomp.

Ask Kinsley what Grammy called her today and wait for a "Miss IN DE PEN DENT! "

I told Kinsley I was going to make her a little rice heating pack instead of an ice pack to sleep with.
Grammy:  Do you want Fancy Nancy or Princess.
Kinsley:  I want Baabie

She is truly a laugh and a half!
Hope you're having as much fun as I am....but knowing that can't possibly happen!
Thank you to everyone who has helped us out. We are glad that we are blessed with so many helpers.

Grammy and Boompa Day

Kevin decided that now that it's winter time, it's a good time to work on things on the basement. This meant that we would stud out a wall in the laundry room. This also meant that we had to redo all of th plumbing. Scary just thinking about it. Anway, we decided that Friday night/Saturday would be a good time to do this. To make it easier for us, the girls headed to Grammy and Boompa's. I guess they had a great time. Actually, I'm not sure who enjoys their time together more, the girls or the grandparents. Here are some pictures from their time together.
Snuggle time.
Keltie's Christmas party for school was the snow day in which school was cancelled. We had made some pretty dipped pretzels for it, but have since then eaten them. Grammy was on duty to make some more for the party. I'm not sure if they saw Kinsley helping, anyone would want to eat them.
Into the mouth.
She looks so sweet and innocent.
Not so sweet and innocent.
Just waiting to go to work.
The girls and Boompy (which is what they call him now instead of Boompa.)

I would put on some more pictures, but this computer is being ridiculous today. Thank you so much to Grammy and Boompa for watching them. We told the girls that they can't come back though if they are as crabby as they were after you left!

Just a side note, Kevin and I did get all of our things accomplished. We even did it without arguing. (If you know the way we work, that's a miracle.) We were both a little nervous about turning the water back on and not having any leaks, but he did it.

Christmas Fun

Well, Christmas has come and gone. There is so much preparation before that when it finally gets here, you are already exhausted. Needless to say, this year was very much like last year with all the different Christmas parties we had to go to. Through it all, the girls were wonderful. They were very much spoiled, although after they got done opening their Santa presents, Keltie remarked, "I don't think we got as much as last year." My reply, "I know you got more than last year." It was a great time with family and friends and we are so thankful for all of you in our lives. The pictures are mainly from Will Christmas. Our card was full before we left for Granny and Papa's house so I downloaded all the pictures on our computer. That means, that they are there, while I'm here at school updating the blog. Oh well!

The girls and Joann's dog Gizmo. This is one dog that they aren't actually afraid of.
Kinlsey trying to open one of Mama's presents.
Papa (or Puppy as the girls like to call him) and some of his girls.
Ella got Keltie the same shirt and they both thought that it was so funny.
Keltie taking her time opening her present.
Keltie got a new ride. She didn't really know what to think because we told her all along that she wouldn't get this bike. I think that she was suprised that she actually got it. (I love the fact that "A Christmas Story" is on in the background.)
The girls in their matching shirts. We always joke that the three of them are a reverse Oreo.
Back at home. Sisterly love.
