Crawling Keltie

When Keltie was younger, she hated being on her stomach. I cringed everytime we had to do "tummy time" with her becasue she would cry the entire time. Well, as she's gotten older she has gotten much better. We knew that she was getting close to crawling and we figured by Christmas time she would have it perfected. On Friday, her sitter called school. As I was talking to her she kept saying, "Oh, Keltie your so close. Keep going." I knew that she was trying her hardest to crawl. I got home on Friday and Kevin tells me the good news. She crawled for Cathy about an hour after I talked to her. Then he continues to tell me that she's done it two more times for him. Again, Mama gets the shaft. So all weekend, I watch her waiting for the big moment. Every time I turn my back, Kevin goes "Jody, look she's about to do it." Of course when I turn my back no such luck. To this very moment, I have yet to see it. She is such a little tease. I get to spend 12 days with her during Christmas break so I told Kevin, I'll have her walking by then. I would settle for seeing her crawl for the first time though.

Notice the hair in the picture? Kevin loves to play with her hair when she gets out of the bath. It's so amazing how long it has grown. She is just such a ham and loves to ham it up for the camera, if you catch her in the right mood.

Mama's Little Helper

Keltie is all about doing things with us lately. Of course we love every minute of it since that means she's always with us. On Saturday I was putting away laundry and she wanted to help. She thought it was more fun to play with the clothespins though. (Don't mind her boyish p.j.s). I got out the camera and she immediately looked at me and smiled. Well, when it came time to actually take the picture, it was more of a stunned look. Sometimes she is just too cute and funny.

Keltie's Santa Visit

So last weekend was the Abbotsford Christmas Parade. I decided that it was too cold to take Keltie to it so we stayed back while Kevin and his family went to it. This year my dad decided that he wanted to be a clown with Kevin's dad, so it was a little bit disappointing that we didn't get to go. Also, Keltie didn't get to see Santa in the parade. I took her in the Abbotsford City Hall on Sunday so she could get to see him. We pulled up in front and there was someone out there dressed up as Tigger waving. She didn't seem too excited at all. It was close to nap time, so I didn't truly know what to expect. I held her in front of Santa for a few minutes and she just stared at him. Mrs. Claus talked to her, but she wouldn't give her the time of day. Finally, I bravely put her on Santa's lap. At first she was o.k., but then when I moved away she started to look like she was going to cry. Of course I had to take pictures, so I quickly took them before she did cry. I guess she wasn't too impressed with Santa this year. Oh well, I'm sure that she'll love all of the presents he brings. There's always next year.
