It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas

It's taken me awhile, but I'm finally starting to be in the Christmas spirit. Keltie has been excited about it for a few weeks, but I just couldn't get myself into it. It does melt my heart every morning though when we drive to daycare and she says "I listen to Kissmiss music." Needless to say, I'm getting sick of the same songs though.

Anyway, we went Saturday to get our Christmas tree. This is always an adventure because we can't ever agree on the "perfect" tree. Without even realizing it, I look at the same tree over and over again. We got to the tree place and Kinsley was sleeping so we decided to leave her in the truck. Well, we set a new world record this year. We were out of the truck, had our tree cut down, loaded and ready to go in 14 minutes. Wow, it's because Kevin and I actually agreed on it. Keltie tried to pick out some for us, but they weren't quite right. She had fun shaking the snow off the trees though.
Kevin was very patient cutting it down, but he said that he would have had better luck with a butter knife.
Keltie all bundled up enjoying the snow. She didn't want her picture taken with the tree or Daddy.

It's always been our tradition to go the Abbotsford Christmas Parade after we have gotten our tree. Kevin's parents always have everyone over for supper and then we go together. Once again, Boompa and Papa decided to be clowns.
Kinsley decided that she would go by the clowns. It's funny because this was one of the only times that she wasn't crying when someone new was holding her. (Boompa, Kinsley, Papa and cousin Addison).
Autumn decided that she would be in the picture as well, but the 2 year olds wanted nothing to do with these crazy guys.
Here's Keltie all bundled up in the truck and ready to go.
Ella, Keltie and Kylie waiting for the fun to begin. They couldn't really move, but had a great seat for the fun. (Notice the beer can in Keltie's hand).
Waiting for Cinderella to come over to them. It was so fun to watch the three of them because they were so excited. They would wave and yell to the people. We kept telling them that next year they will have to make room in their wagon for Kinsley. (She stayed at home in the warmth with Grammy. Thanks again Grammy).
Sunday, Keltie and I decided to decorate the tree. I thought that she would really get into it, but she had more fun unpacking the boxes going "Here's another one Mama, and another one." She handed them to me faster than I could put them on. We decided to put our tree in the basement this year. We got a pellet stove last week and we spend a lot more time down there now since it's warmer.
Here's the finished product.Keltie watching TV downstairs.
Here's the new pellet stove. Kevin did all the tile and laid the carpet. He also put the trim around everything. It's amazing how far our house has come in the last year. (Again, notice the beer cans. I think it's a reoccuring theme at our house!)
