This weekend we decided that it was time to move Keltie to her big girl bed. She does a great job of sleeping in the crib, but lately she's been moving to the top and can't get down while she's sleeping. The other night she also got her leg into the railing and couldn't get it out. We were going to wait until Christmas vacation to do it, but decided it was time. Keltie, Grammy and I went to Kohls on Saturday to pick out her bedding. We were all excited.
Yesterday we took the crib downstairs and made her bed. The whole time Keltie was in the room climbing on everything. We were happy about that because we figured she should be able to help. We ended up having to rearrange all her furniture, but we eventually got it figured out. Kevin put her in the bed a little while later for her nap. He said that she kind of looked around, but didn't make a sound. We checked on her about 10 minutes later and she was sound asleep. She slept good last night as well. She did wake up around 3:30 and started to cry. (She did this the other night as well.) Kevin went in and laid down with her. They both fell back asleep in there.
We are hoping that this good trend continues. I don't think that it's going to be too bad of a transition for her. It was bitter sweet though putting the crib downstairs. When I looked at Keltie taking her nap I of course came out crying. I told Kevin I couldn't figure out if it was because she's growing up too fast or if it's because she's such a good girl about new things. Either way, I love her.

Sleep tightly, Keltie! Enjoy that new, big bed. You look so cute in it! And you were such a big help setting it up. I bet you'll be washing your own bedding next week.
Aw! Jody she is getting way too big too fast! : ) Her big girl bed is adorable! I love how she is such a helper! Maybe she can give Mallory a few tips when she gets older. Right now we say... Hey Mallory wanna go do the dishes? She just looks at us. ; )
I can't believe she is old enough for a big girl bed, I think she's growing too fast so I can't imagine how it's flying by for you. You are both great parents to let her be such a helper.
Love you all,
Connie
