Monkey See, Monkey Do, Monkey I Love You

Last night Keltie decided that she wanted a rice cake for her snack. The rule at our house is that you can eat on the hardwood floor. She sat right there and pretty soon Kinsley was there as well. Kevin decided to give her a rice cake as well. Kinsley loves to do whatever Keltie is doing so it was cute to watch. (It wasn't so cute when they were finished and there were crumbs all over the floor!)

This is how you do it.
"I get this all to myself."

Turkey Hunting

It was Kevin's season to go turkey hunting last week. He wasn't able to get out as much as he wanted since Keltie was sick, but he did go out one last time on Sunday night. Luckily he got one. The girls in I were inside when he came home with it and Keltie just kept staring out the window at it. She kept asking me question like, "Why isn't it talking?" "Does it fly?" "Where does it go potty?" All important questions to a three year old. She even got to go outside and touch it. (Yeah, I'm excited about that!) Daddy and his girls.

Easter Eggs

Last Thursday Keltie spent the night at Grammy and Boompa's house. She was super excited to go. It was a little sad for me since that was only the 3rd time she wasn't at home at night. They had all these plans for what they were going to do, but unfortunately, Mom called Friday morning and Keltie had thrown up. Well, needless to say, she did it a few more times before she got home. Then she continued to do it a couple of more times at home. Saturday morning she felt good enough for a little bit to color eggs. She wasn't really into it since she didn't feel the best, but she was a trooper.

Kinsley has to watch and see what her big sister is doing.
Getting a little help from Daddy.

Have to be extra careful.

She is finally starting to feel better, although it has wiped her out for a couple of days. Boompa spent yesterday with her and is there again today. Thanks both of you for taking such good care of her.

Teething?

So Kinsley is 9 months old and hasn't gotten her first tooth yet. (Not that it's surprising since Keltie was 10 months before she got her first one.) Anyway, she is definitely showing signs of teething, we just haven't felt anything yet. These are just a few pictures of her the other morning.

Keltie always laughs when she does this because I call her our little puppy dog.
"This is cold, Mama."

"I can't quite figure this thing out."

Thanks Grammy!

Grammy sent some cookies to our house for Keltie to decorate. She had a lot of fun doing so and of course had to use the purple and pink sprinkles.
Check out that concentration.

Checking out the finished product. I know what you are thinking...let the girl have one. She did get one.

Easter Egg Hunt

Kevin and I debated if we should take the girls to the Easter egg hunt. Well, the decision was easily made for us on Saturday morning when we found out that the Curtiss hunt was actually going to be held inside at El Norteno's. We decided that we would take both of the girls and let them have some fun.
Keltie very much likes watching me get ready. This morning she decided that she wanted some make up on her eyes as well. She was so proud. Such a helpful sister.
Each child got to pick up 16 eggs. Keltie was apprehensive at first, but then got into it.
Kinsley was excited about being able to put an egg in her mouth.
Daddy and his girls. (A lady from the Owen newspaper took this picture as well and then took a family picture of us. Check the newstands, it might sell out fast. If it's even in there.)
This is the face Kinsley always has when someone new holds her so it wasn't a big surprise.
Keltie freaked out when the Easter bunny started walking towards her. Eventually she let this picture happen. She did give him five one time when he walked by. Keltie was very excited because she won a pink stuffed bunny and Kinsley won a white one. It was fun and now she keeps asking when the bunny is coming to our house.

Keltie's 3rd Birthday

It's hard to believe, but over the weekend we celebrated Keltie's 3rd birthday. The time has gone by so fast. She is changning so much everyday. She is such a little sweetheart and we have loved watching her grow, learn and change each day. She was so excited about her birthday. Everyday, on the way home from daycare, Kevin and her talk about a lot of different things. He has been working with her on learning with her birthday is. So now when you ask her how old she is going to be on her birthday, she always replies April 10th. We have been talking to her a lot about getting ready for her birthday. When we had her party on Saturday she kept asking if it was her birthday today. We had to explain that it wasn't really her birthday, but just the day of her party. She didn't quite understand this, but she was still excited. She had to pick out her dress and then had to of course have Kinsley match her. I asked her what I should wear and she told me a dress. I explained to her that Mama doesn't have any. She looked at the shirt I was going to wear and she told me it wasn't pretty. Gotta love the honesty sometimes. Here are some pictures from her birthday party. Thanks to all who came and shared the day with us.
Keltie wanted a Minnie Mouse cake so this is the result. She loved it. She sat by it for the longest time just looking at it. Minnie Mouse cookies to go along. In her favorite colors, pink and purple.
Listening to everyone sing to her.
Blowing out the candles.
Minnie Mouse ears that Grammy made.
Great Grandma trying to make Kinsley smile. Needless to say, she spent a lot of time with Mama and Daddy.
The best present....an umbrella. She has been wanting and wanting one since Christmas when her cousins both got one.
The Great Grandmas. (Grandma and Grandpa Hemmer had already left.)

Since it was so nice yesterday on Keltie's actual birthday, we went to the Marshfield zoo. She was so fun to watch and got such a kick out of the geese. She walked around the whole loop of the zoo as well. We then went tu Subway and she got a kick out of ordering a chicken sub with olives.

I hope that she had a great time. We love you so much Keltie. (It's off for another celebration today at daycare with pink and purple cupcakes!)

Pictures

Auntie Carol made a visit to our house a few weeks ago to take pictures of the girls again. I couldn't post any until now because we wanted to hand them out at Keltie's party. The girls did a great job and were wonderful for pictures. It's so fun to watch the two of them interact with each other. It's so hard to choose a favorite, they were all so good. Thanks again Carol.
I can't believe how big she's getting. It already looks like a school picture. Keltie loved this purple dress.
So happy.
Keltie's face lit up when Carol said she would take pictures of her with her books. She is such a book girl and could read all day long if she could.
Sisterly love.
So precious.
What is she thinking?
All dressed up.
Some people say this makes them want to cry. It makes me laugh because it's a face we see a lot on Kinsley.
